Simba
Simba is a 65lb Chow mix who is approximately 7 years old. He is a sweet mild-mannered gentleman and while Simba is not a cuddler and will rarely get on the couch, his dream-come-true is to lay on the floor at your feet. If youâre up moving around the house, he loves to escort you to make sure you arrive at your destination safely. Simba is even-tempered and only makes noise when he is unable to get to you.
He hasnât met a visitor that he doesnât like, male and female alike. He walks well on a leash and is working on his gentle leader manners. Simba loves to take long ambling strolls through the neighborhood. With him being a Chow Mix he can be stubborn, but with positive reinforcement (food always works!) it is easy to convince Simba that your idea is the best one. He understands what “no” means and has quickly learned what he can and cannot do.
He is crate-trained and potty-trained, shown no destructive tendencies and does not get into things. Simba is patient with other dogs but has no interest in playing with them. He would be okay with being an only dog, Simba can be quite dominant, as is common with his breed, so if his new home does have a playmate the best option would be a dog that is submissive.
We would not recommend that he live with cats, he has shown no aggression towards them, but he is just a little too interested in them for it to be a comfortable fit for a resident cat.
Simba loves to be brushed and he would do best with a fenced-in yard so he can spend his afternoons laying in the sun. If you have room in your heart and your home for a giant teddy bear, please contact us!
