90517: “Oxex” 6 year old female Cane Corso mix. She is rescue only due to medical. Our vet wrote “Spayed female Mastiff w/ exceptional calm and sweet personality. Mild hind left limb lameness w/ gait (currently on tramadol). Oral - left upper canine chronic fracture, incisors moderate ware. Eyes - lenticular sclerosis OU, low grade dorsal lid lateral entropian. Otic -wnl; Trachea - comfortable w/ palpation, pulmonary - easy respirations, no crackles or wheezes. Peripheal nodes - wnl; Cardiac - reg. rhythm, HR 120; Abdominal palpation - no organomegally appreciated, comfortable w/ palpation, mammary tissue wnl, spay scar present. Stance - s.t. off loads left hind limb, and w/ gait favors same limb. Left hip - coxofemoral reduced muscle mass, no signs of discomfort w/ extension, stifle - no crepitus w/ ROM, nor medial buttressing, tibia/hock/metatarsal bones/digit - comfortable and wnl. Hind right - coxofemoral reduced muscle mass, no signs of discomfort w/ extension, stifle and distal palpates wnl. Following ortho exam mild limp on hind left. Derm - no fleas detected. Radiographs - V/D pelvis - left coxofemoral joint, early degenerative signs (arthritis) - osteophyte on caudal acetabular rim, femoral neck appears thickened w/ some osteophytes; Right hip - appears wnl, and both stifles appear normal. These are mild changes at this time. There is marked ventral spondylosis over lumbar spine. This is noted by radiologists to be a non painful condition. Given her age, reduced hip muscle mass, and slowness in rising - dx = early coxofemoral arthritis. Will continue tramadol and add rimadyl - 100 mg po bid for 14 days. Sending to rescue (Mastiff) given need for monitoring progression of pain as ages.” She was an owner surrender, she may leave at any time. Email us at [email protected]

92926: “CJ” 10 year old neutered male Husky/Chow mix. He is rescue only due to medical. Our vet wrote “BAR, interactive senior neutered male. Flea dirt noted and a red, irritated area of skin at tail base. Clipped, cleaned and applied TAO. Giving capstar and frontline. Lower eyelid mass of right eye. Not currently bothering him or causing any problems but recommend biopsy/removal. Decreased range of motion of hips bilaterally. Medial buttressing of stifles bilaterally with crepitus. Remainder of PE WNL. Starting carprofen 50 mg PO BID, tramadol 100 mg PO BID and phycox for arthritis. Changing status to awaiting rescue due to age and arthritis - he will need life long medications and an owner experienced with the breed” He was an owner surrender, he may leave at any time.
